Enterprise Networks
Enterprise infrastructures are under constant pressure from the
exponential growth of data and devices all along their networks. How do IT
leaders scale their infrastructure without increasing management complexity
and cost?
Brocade's proven data center heritage translates into network
infrastructures that can handle massive surges in data growth, end-to-end.
Whether it's in an Enterprise Data Center or Campus Network, our solutions
are purpose-built to raise performance beyond today's expectations.
Data-center class reliability is complemented by solutions from the leading
ecosystem of world-class partners and technology leaders. Brocade customers
can cost-effectively add innovative network services becoming more
responsive and agile. Next-generation solutions like convergence,
consolidation, and unified communications become a reality.
In today’s data-intensive environments, Brocade means complexity is out.
Cost-effective is in. Business transformation is a given.
Ethernet Switches & Routers

The Brocade FastIron CX Series of switches provides new levels of
performance, scalability, and flexibility required for today's
enterprise campus networks. With advanced capabilities, these
switches deliver performance and intelligence to the network edge in
a flexible 1U form factor that helps reduce infrastructure and
administrative costs.
Designed for wire-speed and non-blocking performance, FastIron CX
switches include 24- and 48-port models, in both Power over Ethernet
(PoE) and non-PoE versions. Utilizing built-in 16 Gbps stacking
ports and Brocade IronStack technology, organizations can stack up
to eight switches into a single logical switch with up to 384 ports.
PoE models support the emerging Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE+)
standard to deliver up to 30 watts of power to edge devices,
enabling next-generation campus applications.

The FastIron® Edge Switch with IEEE 802.3af based
Power over Ethernet (FES-PoE) series provides an industry-leading
feature set with greater flexibility, higher reliability, enhanced
security, and expanded quality of service—while simplifying network
management complexity and reducing on-going training expenses. The
FES-POE is an ideal platform choice for applications that require
advanced high-availability, superior performance and advanced power
features, including Voice over IP (VoIP), IP video
security/surveillance and Wireless LAN (WLAN) deployment.

The FastIron GS Series access switch family
provides enterprise organizations with a flexible and feature-rich
solution for building a secure and converged network edge.
Upgradeable with 10-Gigabit Ethernet, PoE, and IronStack stacking
technology, the FastIron GS Series provides enterprises with the
cost and operational benefits of a “pay-as-you-grow” architecture.
The FastIron GS Series delivers the scalability, QoS assurance,
resilience, and VoIP-readiness needed to implement a high-value
converged solution that can scale to meet future growth at the
network edge. An enterprise may initially deploy a standalone
FastIron GS switch and later upgrade to IronStack stacking to scale
the installation from one to eight stacked units to meet growing
user requirements |

The Brocade 300 provides exceptional
performance and functionality at an entry-level cost.
It combines auto-sensing 1, 2, 4, and 8 Gbps Fibre
Channel throughput with features that greatly enhance
fabric operation. The Brocade 300 provides these
capabilities while consuming less than 2.5 watts of
power per port for exceptional power and cooling
efficiency.
The Brocade 300 features a non-blocking architecture
with as many as 24 ports concurrently active at 8 Gbps
(full duplex) with no over-subscription—providing an
overall bandwidth of 192 Gbps. In addition, enhanced
Brocade ISL Trunking enables a single logical
high-speed trunk capable of up to 64 Gbps of
throughput. |

The Brocade 5300 features a
non-blocking architecture with as many as 80 ports
concurrently active at 8 Gbps (full duplex) with no
over-subscription—providing an overall bandwidth of
640 Gbps. This level of performance and connectivity
is ideal for expanding virtual server environments. In
addition, enhanced ISL Trunking can supply up to 64
Gbps of balanced data throughput in a single logical
link.
The high port density of the Brocade 5300 uniquely
enables fan-out from the core of the data center
fabric with less than half the number of switch
devices compared to traditional 32- or 40-port edge
switches. As a result, it can provide a single-domain
solution that simplifies fabric management and reduces
the data center footprint.
With capabilities such as Ports On Demand scalability
from 48 to 64 or 80 ports, the Brocade 5300 also
enables organizations to grow their storage networks
when necessary, in a non-disruptive manner. |
